T minus 7 days and counting...

The boys are now getting quite excited as the big day approaches. We have already had an invitation to Christmas Dinner, which was respectfully declined. I felt that as this was Daniel's first Christmas, and our first one in a new country, then we should spend it together, as always, at home. Hopefully we may catch up with Wilf and Karen over the holiday period.

Last Thursday was George's Christmas concert. Unfortunately, CJ was unable to attend, as Oliver practised his projectile vomitting at the dinner table! The concert performance was very good, and the kindergarden children presented themselves, as reindeer, very well. It was quite obvious that a lot of hard work and preparation was involved in this production. Congratulations to all.

Friday we received our passports. Finally. With all the relevant documentation. We are now able to claim full residential status. So a quick drive down to the border in the New Year, to get the relevant visas, stamps etc., and we're on our way (again) to becoming Canadian citizens!!

Phew! What a year.... so far!

Villa have seemed to have stopped the rot! A draw with Sunderland was a little lucky, as the Black Cats had a last minute goal disallowed. The FA have abondoned England, or so it seems. An Italian is now at the helm of the National team, and has promised to win the World Cup... but remember what happened the last time this was said by the current England manager (God Bless Sir Alf)?, well, we WON. Let's hope Capello can put his promises to practice.

New England Patriots won again... and so did the Miami Dolphins. Apologies to them for last weeks comments!! (but I don't think they won the toss...)

CJ has just finished 3 nights, and starts 2 more tomorrow!! But at least we'll have the next 4 days together (then it's Xmas Eve). Not working Christmas Day and Boxing Day, means we'll have plenty of fun with, and time to spoil the kids, and hopefully a holiday to remember.

Some days I just want to go out in the snow, build snow-forts and snowmen, but George and Ovie insist that it's too cold!! Too cold for snowman building?, NEVER.

We've been looking at the local rescue dog website, with a view to adopting one or two puppies. But that will have to wait until Springtime. But there's no harm in looking, is there? (I know 3 kids, 2 dogs, 1 wife... must be mad hehehe)

Until next time... ttfn
